Hello fresh #3
#helloFreshpics Eastern Carolina Pulled Chicken Sliders on Brioche |
My ingredients! Notice the cute Tabasco sauce jars |
The chicken sliders are a level 1. Not as much to chop or prep. The girls loved this meal. The mixed greens were suppose to go on the sliders but I opted to add a salad to the meal. The girls are bigger salad eaters than they are cole slaw eaters. I used half the mayo in the coleslaw and still think it could have been less.
The buns were toasted with a little butter infused olive oil in lieu of adding more mayo to the buns. This made them even better!! I did not add the Tabasco sauce. I am not a fan of spicy! Chris did add a little to his slider! Carolina BBQ done right and not mushy! My kind of meal!!
This has been a great experience and I am making this again tonight to take over to a couple who just had a baby! Hoping they like it as much as the girls did!!
Have I convinced you to try Hello fresh?? I could do this every week. I love to cook and this is so easy! I do think my overall grocery bill would go down, due to the fact that I tend to over buy any time at the store. And when I am hungry or just have the munchies it goes up even more. Or I decide we need to eat better, well then the cart is full of fresh good stuff and we end up throwing most of it away because no one can eat that much!! Or the kids have so much going on they are not home or we are not home as a family! Again, I buy and it gets thrown away! I hate wasting food. OK I hear a rant coming on - stopping it before it gets really bad!!
If you decide to give it a try please use my code and you will receive 15.00 off your first box and I will receive 20.00 for you receiving food that is good for your family!! http://www.hellofresh.com/?c=XCPESH
Happy cooking!!
