Refuge

Psalm 11: 1
In the Lord I take refuge

Psalm 91: 2
I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress,
My God, in whom I trust!”

Oh it's Friday! This week seems as if it has lasted two. Things we did on Saturday seems like it was a month ago.

Looking at all the ways I had to take refuge in the Lord this week -
My hubby - praise the Lord he is recovering! We have coined his step "Skippy" after not being able to walk without pain, he is "skippy" around the house this afternoon.
My Sweet Pea (aka Allee), back at school and up moving! That is a huge step for her!
My Dad - Out of surgery! Praising the Lord for the family I have who have stepped in and laid themselves aside when our dad needed them the most. (That will be another post).
Taylor - Alternative meds are working it seems! Will do the big dance when we get confirmation from doctors!!
My G-pa - doing well and healing from heart issues!!

So what are you needing to take refuge in the Lord for today? Tomorrow?

I never realized how sitting and writing out thoughts could be so calming! I do journal my prayers but to sit and write thoughts - it's different. I mean just writing the praises for this week really helps me focus on the blessings for the week and not the negative!

This is probably a good time to introduce my favorite verse for last year or so!
Philippians 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.

I really like Tinkerbell and this verse makes me think of her or she makes me think of this verse. Why? Because she reminds me to "Tink happy thoughts" what thoughts do I think I should have? true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, excellent and praise worthy ones!! That's what kind!!
